Insects such as cockroaches and ants can live and breed in stock supplies, particularly within the food sector. This can cause contamination and result in damaged stock, which then needs to be thrown away.
Bed bugs cause problems in the hospitality industry and in the care sector , for example within hospitals and care homes. Bed bugs can bite, creating discomfort and unnecessary stress on staff and customers. They can easily spread from bed to bed, and even room to room very quickly by humans and can fast lead to previously clean areas becoming contaminated.
Both these types of problems can be extremely costly.
In addition to cost, these insects can cause serious damage to health as they can quickly carry and spread a range of dangerous diseases.
